Chamomile has been a go-to herb for centuries, loved for its calming and healing properties. It’s been used by everyone from ancient Egyptians to more modern herbalists like the late Dr. John Christopher. This little golden flower does a lot more than just make a soothing cup of tea!

There are two better-known types of Chamomile:
– German Chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla) – more commonly used in herbal medicine, it has stronger anti-inflammatory properties and is excellent for digestive issues, stress relief, and skin conditions. It’s often utilized in teas, tinctures, and topical applications.

Both are soothing and nourishing, but German Chamomile is the one we’ll focus on here.
