My third postpartum was incredibly difficult, and I figured I would try anything because I was at a breaking point. I turned to a friend; I wanted to know what she did to stay sane and keep PP depression at bay after the birth of her third child. As we were talking she recommended Milk Moon.

Upon looking at the Milk Moon website and seeing the quality detail put into the description of every bit of every product, I was sold. A brief but thorough excerpt was written about each ingredient, explaining its inclusion. This assured me that there was a reason for every part of the tincture and that they had a high potential to help me heal. The reviews are not high in number but they are all positive.

Milk Moon grows and harvests most of its own herbs, and what they don’t, they source locally from like-minded farmers and wildcrafters. I studied it out a while longer before I went and bought anything. Then, I purchased the postpartum collection which included the following: Postpartum Restorative Tonic, the Milky Way – to support milk production -, Bring Me A Dream – to encourage healthy nervous system functioning and ability to sleep when needed, Cloud Nine – to support mood, and no worries – to relieve anxiety and stress. Here is my report:

Bring Me A Dream

As a neurodivergent and ADHD person with an absolutely crazy brain, I was very skeptical that the sleep tincture would help me in the least. After all, I had pretty much given up trying to quiet my brain during the day, so forget about nighttime. Surprise! Taking this tincture even just once close to a nap/bedtime seemed to make it so much easier to fall asleep. And – the best part – if I was not allowed to sleep due to a child waking up/needing help, a neighbor knocking at my door, or some other interruption, I wasn’t the tiniest bit sedated like I am with other sleep aids. So, even yes tonic but no nap meant no additional drowsiness from a sleep aid.

No Worries & Cloud Nine

No Worries and Cloud Nine are tinctures I take together, because when I’m anxious, I’m also usually struggling to fight back the blues. This was the reason I was brought to the entire bundle. I must say that I was also trying everything in the books I knew except prescription medication. With that in mind, I can’t say whether it was these tinctures alone, but my PP depression can now be kept at bay if I am diligent with taking care of myself. This usually includes still taking these tinctures. I went from daily panic attacks and sleepless rest to a tired but okay mama.

The Milky Way

The Milky Way is a very gentle but effective support to the milk supply, so I don’t have to worry about getting too full if the baby only nurses on one side at a time overnight. Some other galactagogues, like lactation cookies or alfalfa, provide a lot of support for me in a short amount of time – too much support. But not this! This is a happy medium.

Postpartum Restorative Tonic

The Postpartum Restorative Tonic is so nourishing I am considering purchasing more for long-term use. It really gives me a lift when I have felt depleted. The taste lacks nothing for me personally, and the size of the bottle was a great amount. It was enough that I had time to feel its effects in my healing process, but not so much that I had to make a serious life commitment when purchasing.

Everything I purchased came exactly as pictured, and was obviously packed with care to ensure no damage to any of the products. For me, a frugal-in-some-areas person, it seemed pricey; but it was every bit worth it with no quality lacking. I was so pleased with the products that I now recommend them to any expecting friends!
